Security & Recovery

I accidentally clicked "never" while trying to take a backup of my hot wallet, and now I can't take the backup again. How do I fix this problem?

If you've inadvertently selected the "never save" option while attempting to back up your hot wallet, causing you to be unable to take backups, here's how you can resolve this issue:

  1. Open Google Chrome: Start by opening the Google Chrome app on your phone.

  2. Access Settings: Tap on the three dots located in the upper right corner of the screen to open the menu, then select "Settings" from the drop-down list.

  3. Navigate to Password Manager: Open password manager integrated with Chrome.

  4. Adjust Password Saving Settings: Look for a settings icon, typically represented by a gear or a similar symbol, in the top right corner of the password manager page. Tap on it to proceed.

  5. Locate the Hot Wallet App: In the settings, find the list of websites or apps for which you have selected "never save". You need to locate the DAU wallet app.

  6. Remove From "Never Saved" List: Next to the entry for DAU Vault app, you will see an 'X' or 'Delete' icon. Tap on this icon.

Attempt Backup Again: Now, return to your DAU Vault app and try to initiate the backup process once more. This time, ensure you select the option to save the backup when prompted, thus ensuring your backup credentials are stored securely.
